The Board of Selectmen is the elected legislative body of the town and enacts ordinances and regulations as required for the health, safety and welfare of the residents. The board also prepares an annual budget for that the registered voters of Chester vote on at Town Meeting Day every March. Members of the Select Board are: John DeBenedetti, chairman; Derek Suursoo, vice chairman; Tom Bock, Arne Jonynas and Bill Lindsay.
